30A Fast Charging Cable (NEMA L14-30)
What “fast charging” actually means on the AC240
Out of the box, your BLUETTI AC240 charges at 800 W in standard or silent mode. That’s fine for overnight top-ups, but slow when you need power back in a hurry a full 0-to-100% charge takes 4–5 hours.
Switch to fast charge mode with this cable and a 30 A wall outlet, and input power jumps to 2,200 W (AC240) or 2,300 W (AC240P). Same battery, roughly 3x faster charging full recharge in about 90 minutes to 2 hours. If you also have a B210 or B210P expansion battery connected, input jumps to 2,400 W, giving you the fastest possible AC charging on this platform.
For anyone using the AC240 as a work power station, event backup, or job-site tool where turnaround time matters, this cable is a genuine time-saver not a nice-to-have.
The L14-30 plug is this the cable for your wall outlet?
BLUETTI makes three different 30 A cables for the AC240. Same current rating, same fast-charge speed, different wall plugs. Choose based on what your wall outlet actually is:
- NEMA L14-30 (this SKU) — locking twist-lock 4-prong plug. Found on generator inlets, backup power ports on some home electrical panels, workshop 240 V outlets, and industrial installations. If your wall socket has an oval face with a locking-ring style connection, that’s an L14-30.
- NEMA TT-30 — 3-prong RV outlet plug. Found at RV parks, campgrounds, and RV-hookup home outlets. Common on private RV pads.
- NEMA 15-A / 20-A parallel cable for pairing two AC240 units in parallel.
If your outlet is a standard household socket (NEMA 5-15 or NEMA 5-20), none of these fast-charge cables work with it you’ll charge at the standard 800 W using the cable included with your AC240. To use fast charging, you need to install a compatible 30 A outlet, either L14-30 (for permanent home installation) or TT-30 (for RV-pad use).

Regional restriction read this before ordering
NEMA L14-30 is a North American electrical standard (US and Canada). This cable is designed for 120 V / 240 V split-phase systems and won’t work in:
- ❌ New Zealand or Australia (230 V / 50 Hz single-phase)
- ❌ UK or Europe (230 V / 50 Hz)
- ❌ UAE, Middle East, most of Asia (220–230 V single-phase)
For non-NA markets, BLUETTI supplies region-specific charging accessories check your regional BLUETTI distributor for the correct fast-charge cable for your electrical system.
Setup how to use it
A licensed electrician should install any 30 A outlet. For reference:
- Verify your NEMA L14-30 outlet is correctly wired and rated at 30 A
- Plug the L14-30 end into the wall outlet, twisting to lock in place
- Plug the aviation-plug end into your AC240 or AC240P AC input port
- Set your AC240 to Fast Charge mode via the display or app
- Charging begins automatically — verify the display shows 2,200–2,400 W incoming power
The whole process takes about 30 seconds once the wall outlet is installed. The locking L14-30 plug prevents accidental disconnection during charging useful in workshop or job-site environments where cables get bumped.
Care and maintenance
- Don’t force the plug — L14-30 twist-locks with a specific rotation. Line up the prongs, insert, then twist clockwise to lock
- Keep away from water — this is an AC-mains cable, not rated for outdoor exposure
- Inspect the cable before each use — check for damage at the plug connections
- Store coiled loosely — tight coils over time can damage internal conductors
- Replace immediately if damaged — don’t attempt to repair AC mains cables yourself
